Deeley Group’s Chairman, Don James, and President, Malcolm Hunter, are both long-time, respected Vancouver business leaders and investors. Always active in real estate, the Deeley Group’s major efforts are focused on real estate and various other investments with a mission:
To protect and grow stakeholder wealth.
The Deeley Group continues to be grounded by honesty, integrity and bringing a high level of achievement to everything they do.
The Deeley Group of companies began its incredible journey in 1914 when Fred Deeley Senior began selling bicycles. His business evolved to selling a little known brand of motorcycles, Harley-Davidson, at the first dealership of its kind on Granville Street in Vancouver. This very store became the oldest Harley-Davidson dealership in Canada and, astonishingly, one of the oldest in the world.
Over the next 100 years the business flourished with the passion of exceptional leaders: Fred Deeley Junior, his son, Trevor (“Trev”) Deeley and finally, Don James, the Deeley Group’s Chairman and principal shareholder. The Deeley Group excelled in distributing motorcycles and operating the Deeley Exhibition and the Trev Deeley Motorcycles dealership which it still operates.
Deeley Group’s Chairman, Don James, and President, Malcolm Hunter led Deeley Group’s motorcycle distribution organization to achieve tremendous success and were acknowledged as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies every year for 20 years. The Deeley Group continues their successes today through their various real estate and other investment ventures.
